A defender linked with a move to Wolves in the January transfer window has hinted at his desire to play in the Premier League.
Wolves bolstered their backline last month with the signings of Emmanual Agbadou and deadline-day arrival Nasser Djiga, strengthening Vitor Pereira’s struggling defence. However, the Old Gold had additional targets in their sights.
One of those was Udinese centre-back Thomas Kristensen, and the 23-year-old has now spoken publicly about his ambitions for the future. His latest comments will only add to speculation that he could still make the switch to Molineux, though other clubs are also reportedly interested.
According to *Sport Witness*, Wolves had a £12.5m bid rejected by Udinese on deadline day, with Italian reports previously linking Kristensen to a potential move. Now, the Danish defender has addressed his long-term aspirations, making it clear that a move to England is part of his plans.
### Kristensen’s Premier League Ambition
Speaking to the Danish press, the Udinese centre-back, who has been capped at the Under-21 level for Denmark, revealed his dream of playing in England.
“There was interest during this window,” Kristensen reportedly said. “But both the club and I feel there are still things to accomplish here in Udine, so we’ll take it step by step and see what happens in the future. Looking further ahead, the dream has always been to play in England. It would be amazing to get there one day.”
Since joining Udinese from AGF in early 2023, Kristensen has made 39 league appearances in Serie A. Alongside Wolves, he has also been linked with Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Bayer Leverkusen, though it remains unclear if any of those clubs made formal bids.
With three years left on his contract, Udinese may not be in a rush to sell, but Kristensen’s remarks suggest he is already eyeing his next step. If Wolves reignite their interest, they could find themselves well-positioned to land the towering 6’6” defender in the future.
